(New York City) Director of Business Development- Medical Education – Overseeing all aspects of medical education business development, including proposal writing, pitching new business to potential clients, contract negotiations, and the indirect supervision of the account management team.
Work closely with editors to capitalize on their relationships with pharmaceutical companies in order to cultivate prospective business opportunities. Strategic planning with physician editors for the development of business proposals. The management of complex contract/ agreement negotiations. The development and maintenance of client relationships. Responsible for working closely with program implementation department to get projects from the proposed stage into the implementation stage.
7 years experience in medical education and would have held a managerial position for at least 3 years. Must be an effective communicator who can demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills, have excellent writing skills, and the ability to establish short and long term goals. . Experience in the fields of Urology, Cardiology, Neurology, and Gastrology is a plus.
