(New York, New York) Scientific Director – Scientific Director—must have sufficient background and expertise in field of Cardiology, Pulmonology, Oncology, or Pharmaceuticals; should be conversant in key/emerging issues in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment; have utmost understanding required for effective communication with learned readers; and possess strong multi-management and interpersonal skills.
Scientific Director would be responsible for development of programs for medical website and should be well-versed in established medical, editorial process and be familiar with CME/CE standards and process.
Key responsibilities include:
-Planning, coordinating, editing, and reviewing all clinical content on, including content certified for continuing education credit -Securing faculty participants and medical writers -Working closely with the faculty to develop on-line programs and providing the appropriate level of guidance to accomplish educational goals -Preparing CME documentation -Implementing new programs and features as appropriate -Working with sales to develop and implement effective programs and highlight areas for commercial support
The position requires an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in a medical or science-related specialty; substantial knowledge of clinical medicine: specialized experience in one of designated fields (cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, or pharmaceuticals), clinical writing and editing experience, 3-5 years of work experience in a large medical communications company or intense research in specific medical area, excellent communication skills, excellent computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of internet technologies with previous online experience a plus. Candidate must be willing to travel.
