(New York City) Account Executive – Medical communications company seeking an account executive to become part of a team, working initially for an account director and reporting to a business unit director while gradually developing responsibility for your accounts and taking increasing ownerships. Accounts will be across a range of OTC, prescription, and consumer brands. Will have daily contact with clients and coordinate trafficking of jobs through the agency, as well as be responsible for clinical referencing support and basic account administration. Informal, friendly environment, coupled with a strong work ethic and philosophy of promoting from within the agency.

Candidate Attributes:

Strong time and people management skills
Agree to realistic timeframes with clients and deliver on deadline
Can keep track of status account, brands, client contact hierarchy and have interest and knowledge of client market place
Can manage the needs and keep realistic schedules of different teams, with approval from manager/director
Strong communication skills, with ability to write creative and thorough briefs, keep clear and concise records of all contacts/enquiries and client meetings, and inform manager/director of all schedule and cost changes when they occur
Can plan, manage, and keep current cost estimates, as well as understand impacts of decisions on agency efficiency and other departments
Honest and fair with colleagues, resolves problems personally and constructively
