Conference Producer

(New York) The Conference Program Producer works across all departments to build conference program agendas, recruit speakers and develop high-level content and discussions on-site. The program team works to launch new conferences and enhance each program year-over-year through content research, recruiting qualified speakers, hosting content-based pre-conference planning calls, and ensuring flawless execution of conference programs.

Global boutique events company seeks to hire a conference producer to research, plan and manage conferences and events overseeing from start to finish every aspect of the agenda for assigned conferences. This position reports to the Managing Director of Program Development. In this role you will work closely with the CEO, and heads of sales, marketing, and operations to produce commercially viable events for the global business professional.


Program Planning 35%

  • Research and draft conference program agendas to share with speaker committee for review.
  • Organize/execute pre-conference planning calls with moderators, panels, sponsors and speakers to ensure consistency and direction of content.
  • Organize/execute pre-conference planning calls.
  • Update the website with agenda changes.
  • Create slides and decks in PowerPoint at the direction of, and coordination with speakers.

Program Recruiting 20%

  • Recruit qualified speakers and shape the agenda to fit their particular expertise.
  • Research & source potential speakers

Collaborating 30%

  • Collaborate with Event Planning, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure that program requirements and sponsorship accommodations align.
  • Research & source potential speakers

Program Execution 15%

  • Ensure flawless execution of conference programs on-site, facilitating introductions to speakers and taking rigorous notes for future program agendas.


  • Strong research and content creation including building agendas experience a must.
  • Speaker recruitment experience
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to operate to tight deadlines, proactive and demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm
  • 1-3 years’ work experience, preferably in Communications, PR, Organizational Comm. & related fields
  • Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Event Management, PR, Journalism or related field preferred)
  • Confidence in communicating with and building relationship with senior level contacts
  • Creative thinking
