The company, home to enthusiastic book-loving employees who are dedicated to connecting books to readers in new and innovative ways, is seeking a Senior Publicist – Young Adult to join their Marketing Team.
Driving high-level media on key titles that results in sales and awareness impact
Developing strong, creative, and long-term relationships with the most influential personalities in media, social, and other areas
Writing highly-creative and effective press releases and pitches that capture the attention of reviewers and media outlets leading to coverage that drives sales
Documenting and reporting on media coverage
Personally marketing a selection of frontlist and backlist titles under the supervision of the Marketing Manager – Young Adult
Creating and managing content for consumer email newsletters and social engagement strategies
Manage company’s young adult social media channels including strategy, content sourcing/generation, and analytics
Develop and execute highly-engaging social campaigns across proprietary and influential channels that builds title awareness for new releases and backlist
A deep passion for the art of publishing and for connecting authors with new readers
BA in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, English, Journalism or related course of study; experience in publishing or consumer goods marketing and publicity strongly preferred
Strong writing and communication skills and demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and work efficiently
Ability to work independently while maintaining enthusiasm and drive in a high-volume, deadline-oriented position
Verifiable history of consistently delivering high-impact media for top releases and developing and fostering vibrant and creative social media strategies
