(New York, NY) NYC boutique strategic public relations firm seeks curious and connected professional with publishing PR experience for its busy non-fiction business. Specializing in ideas and influencing public discussion, its clients include top leaders in technology, business, politics, medicine and media.


  • Publishing PR experience on non-fiction campaigns, with media contacts and well-rounded knowledge of trade book publishing a must

  • Ability to help create and then execute original and compelling communication plans for 4-8 annual titles

  • Can create press releases, pitch letters, talking points and promotional materials

  • Able to develop newsworthy ideas and content

  • Target media aimed at stoking influence and debate

  • Orchestrate and oversee media interviews, reviewer outreach and client appearances

  • Strengthen and develop media contacts in addition to maintaining strong relationships with clients


Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Superb organizational, analytical, and time management skills AND exceptionally strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, will learn inDesign

  • Bachelor’s degree required in English, Communications, social sciences

  • Ability to work well independently as well as in collaborative or team environments.

  • Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process
