Client Services & Operations Manager

(New Jersey) A New Jersey-book wholesaler is seeking a new Client Services and Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned bookseller or customer focused publishing  person to coordinate sales opportunities within a dynamic sales organization.  Desired candidates will have experience in all aspects of the bookselling industry and is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, knows how to multitask, and has insightful analytic skills. 

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and proposing customized solutions based on their specific requests related to freight and logistics

  • Coordinate all activities relating to logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution

  • Liaise effectively with clients, carriers, freight forwarders, and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

  • Create and maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including customer interactions, sales pipeline, and order status

  • Analyze and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to the management team

Qualifications/Experience/Skills Include:

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs, and the transportation industry

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build long-term relationships
